Search and sort your data

This is one of the most powerful functions of MSELECT since it allows you to select specific records within your collection by writing queries.

It's useless to use any specific language to write these queries : Only click the name of the data field to be searched, choose an operator ("=", "contains" ... for example) and type in the text or the value to be tested.

In addition, when the field to be searched is linked to a glossary, a drop-down list presents all the corresponding preregistered items and their abbreviations.  Lastly, by clicking on "OK", your query will be automatically written.

This example will display all your australian cartridges having a "non straight" case and whose names contain "Zipper".

Nevertheless, if you are very well up on the SQL language, it's also possible that you manually write your own queries ...

In addition, these queries can be stored in a library. Doing so, you are not obliged to write them again every time you want to re-use them.

Once displayed, you can order the displayed cartridges according to up to 6 fields simultaneously, by only double-clicking their names or "dragging" them to the "Sort by ..." area.

In addition, in "list" display mode, you have only to right-click on the header of the column corresponding to the data you want to sort on to display a specific popup menu offering this sort option.
